Monthly Summary – July 2014

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Obviously, July was all about Badwater.

July opened with the start of my taper, then I raced and have been recovering ever since. In other words, it was an incredible, kick-ass month.

Tomorrow I’m headed out to Wrightwood to spend the weekend crewing and pacing Billy at AC100. It’s his first attempt at running 100 miles and I couldn’t be more psyched for him. There are also about 100 other people I know running the race so it will be fun to be out there and watch my friends compete.

Here’s July:

Swim: 1,000 meters
Cycling (outdoors): 0 miles
Cycling (indoors): 0 (hours)
Run: 229.3 miles
Total Run Elevation Gain: 29,194 feet
Strength Training/Yoga: 4 sessions

Approximate monthly total training/racing time: 51.25 hours

Weight: 155

    Hey Josh!

I’ll be working the AS at Idlehour!!! I hope I get to see you and Billy. I won’t let you stay too long though (if you’re pacing at the end of the race).

Just wanted to say hi and congrats on an amazing race at Badwater!
