Monthly Summary – April 2014
April was a good month. I built on some momentum from the second half of March and carried it through to a solid month of training. And by “training”, I mostly mean “running”. Because that’s pretty much all the training I do these days!
#3 – The weekend after Lake Sonoma, Elizabeth, the dogs and I took a quick trip down to San Diego. It was partly to see my parents and some recent renovations to their house and partly for another fun reason that I should be announcing early next week.
#4 – Throughout the month, I had a lot of great runs. I ran BOC every week and got a PR up Temescal to Greene Peak (36:56) that I’m pretty proud of. Every Saturday except the one when I was at Lake Sonoma, I got out to the San Gabriels for a long trail run with friends. We ran Mt. Wilson, Mt. Lowe and the first 26 miles of the AC100 course. Sundays were long road runs (18-22 miles). I’ve been doing a fun route around home (Runyon, Mulholland Drive, Griffith Park) that gets me good climbing and descents and some nice views too.
Two more solid months of training to go, but I definitely feel like I’m on the right track!
hey! i can’t believe you were here in Sonoma and didn’t let me know!! otherwise, great video!!
I enjoyed your interview on Trail Runner Nation, just watched the Brazil video, and wanted to extend my congratulations to you and good luck re Badwater.
