9 hours to go!
There’s no going back now. Drop bags are all set. Stuff for tomorrow is (mostly) laid out and we’re back at the hotel settling in for the night.
We flew into Salt Lake City last night and I stayed the night downtown. I met up with Drew and we hit Sage’s Cafe for a great vegan dinner. I highly recommend it if you’re in Salt Lake and looking for vegan eats. After dinner I walked around downtown, mostly to go check out the big temple. This morning, I got up early, drove out to Park City to pick up Lukas and then we hit Whole Foods and REI (where we met up with Drew) for some last minute supplies. Then we drove up to Logan.
We hit the very brief pre-race meeting (follow the pink ribbons, turn at the yellow ones) and then went to Beehive Grill (another good find that I’d highly recommend it if you find yourself in Logan) for our pre-race dinner.
At the pre-race meeting, they said that there will be live tracking during the race. Look for it at www.bear100.com or the hidden Live Tracking tab here. They didn’t promise that the live tracking would be updated consistently, but it’s better than anything else I’ve got!
Big thanks to everyone who’s helped and supported me during my training for this race. Special thanks, as always, to my beautiful wife, Elizabeth, and the two ragamuffin dogs who are my biggest fans.
Now it’s time to start shutting down and get a few hours of sleep before the 3am wake up call tomorrow morning!
Get it done Josh – I’ll be rooting for ya bro!
Looking forward to following your progress, go get it!
