Less than 24 hours now…

It’s really down to the wire now. Tomorrow at this time, I should be coming up 1st Avenue. I can’t wait for that sight. I’ve heard that Williamsburg, coming off the Queensboro into Manhattan and entering the Park are the three biggest thrills of the marathon. Can’t wait! This morning Ron and I met up for a quick 3 mile run around Washington Square Park. It was nice to hang out with him and also to try to estimate what it will be like tomorrow morning – today was sunny, cool and very little wind. Tomorrow is supposed to be mostly the same, which will be pretty much perfect weather. I’m as ready as I can be. Today I’m going to concentrate on eating, resting and mentally preparing. We’re going to run a few errands in the neighborhood, which should be good to help me stop obsessing over tomorrow. Tonight, I think we’ll stay in and watch a movie and get into bed early. I’m not certain that I’ll be able to fall asleep early, but I’ll try to get as good a night’s sleep as possible.

Here goes nothing!
