Major Motivation Issues
Wow. I’m struggling to get going right now.
This morning I was up pretty early but did everything I could think of to avoid going out for my morning run. I wasted more than two hours screwing around on-line, doing some work that didn’t really need doing and generally just stalling. I did finally go for my run – 12.3 miles at sub-7:40 pace – but it wasn’t much fun. I’ve been tired for the last few days. Really tired. The type of tired that makes me want to sit down in the shower, tired. I guess all my training is finally catching up with me and this is exactly why you taper for a race. I’ve got 17 days to go and only a few more workouts of any real intensity or length. Thank goodness.
