Nuun – they’re watching me!

And it’s a good thing.

I got this curious email from Nuun a couple weeks ago:

hi there josh,

i’ll let you in on a little secret: we’re very nosy.

okay, that’s out of the way. so, we saw that you mentioned us the other day on your blog (without us even pestering you to do it). we want you to stay hydrated. so, we want to show you some serious nuun-love—send us your shipping address, please.

get back at your convenience. we love our (potential) nuun-lovers.

stay hydrated.

Of course I responded. And just the other day a nice little care package arrived at my apartment with some Nuun, a waterbottle and some stickers and temporary tattoos.

Nuun was recommended to me by Cassidy Phillips at Trigger Point Technologies. Endurance athletes think about electrolytes during training and racing, but Cassidy told me that I need to think about it on an everyday basis as well. When you drink a lot of water on a daily basis (which you should), adding electrolytes helps your body absorb fluids, thus keeping dehydration at bay. One nice thing about Nuun is that it doesn’t have all the sugar that most “sports” drinks have. And it’s really easy to use, you just drop a tablet into water, wait a minute for it to dissolve and you have a nice-tasting, electrolyte replacement drink.

After getting the email and the care package I’m now impressed with both a great product and a nice company too!
