Olympic Distance+ Triathlon Day
I’m not certain that I’ve fully recovered from Badwater yet. Between the lack of sleep, 8.5 hours on the road walking and running with Blake, the heat and dehyrdation, I’m still feeling a little heavy and slow. But there’s less than six weeks until Canada and the training must go on!
Yesterday was a long, hard training day. In the morning I swam 2,600 yards (including a hard mile in the middle), then in the evening I did the Griffith Park Brick, but decided that I’d go early and add 10 miles to the bike. Total for the day: 2,600 yard swim, 31 mile bike, 7 mile run. I’m very happy to rest and continuing recovering today.
